Holtsville Woman Dies in House Fire

A 65-year-old woman was killed when her Holtsville home caught fire on Sunday afternoon, Suffolk County police said.

Officers and Holtsville Fire Department firefighters responded the blaze on Mary Lu Drive and upon entry, they found Annette Larusso inside the home, at 12:20 p.m., police said.

The victim was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital, where she died of her injures.

Homicide Squad and Arson Section detectives are continuing the investigation.
