adulteducationRegistration is underway for the Winter 2016 session of Community Ed—and there’s something for everyone.

To help residents stay active, many classes are available, including Vinyasa Yoga, Cardio Fit, Tai Chi, Body Workout, Modern Dance, Pilates, Weights, & Yoga, Zumba, Body Workout, Latin-Style Gentle Aerobics, Line Dancing and Ballroom Dancing.

Explore your musicality with Singing for Fun, An Appreciation of Opera, Piano, Cabare or the Cumberland Singers.

Express your creativity with fine arts and crafts courses, including Painting for Beginners, Collage, Chinese Bamboo Painting, Figure Drawing, Watercolor on Nontraditional Surfaces, Jewelry in Fused Glass, Paint Your House, Channeling Van Gogh, Printmaking, Pottery, Stone Sculpture and Jewelry Making,

Expand your horizons by learning to play mah-jongg or bridge, or join the Canasta Club. Interested in learning a new language? Choose from Chinese, French, Spanish, Italian, Hebrew and ESOL. Take part in Some History You Ought to Know or Top Baseball Arguments. Analyze Supreme Court Decisions, study Ancient Greek Philosophers or do a little armchair travel in Italy—City by City.

Hone your writing skills in Write Your Heart Out or Poetry Writing. Read and discuss Greek and Roman Literature or join the Winter Book Series, Arguably the Best Books of the 20th Century.

Get up-to-date with technology with classes including eBay and Social Networking, Gmail and Google, Build Your Own Website, iPad Appiness and Word Skills.

Take care of yourself and your family with courses in CPR, Defensive Driving, Maximizing Your Social Security, Dating Essentials and Keeping Income Flowing in Retirement.

For K to 12 students, Chinese for Kids, Parent/Child Pottery, PSAT/SAT/ACT test preparation and Driver Education for resident high school students are available.
