Port Washington Police District Detectives conducted an extensive joint investigation with Nassau County Police Major Case Bureau Burglary Pattern Team and Third Squad Detectives, which resulted in the arrest of Mamuka Bokuchava, 31, of Brooklyn, on Feb. 20.
Bokuchava was responsible for at least eight burglaries in Port Washington and several others in Nassau County. As a result of the arrest, a legal search of Bokuchava’s residence was conducted, at which time proceeds from previous burglaries were recovered. Bokuchava was charged with multiple counts of Burglary, 2nd degree. I praise the work of both the Nassau and Port Washington Detectives and also Nassau County Intelligence Analyst Megan Dollery, who was instrumental in linking the Port Washington and Nassau cases together.
