Chamber Luncheon Meeting

The Farmingdale Chamber of Commerce will meet at noon at The Nutty Irishman, 323 Main St., Farmingdale. Venue phone number is 516-293-9700. Speaker: Farmingdale School District Assistant Superintendent for Business Paul Defendini will discuss the 2016-17 district budget. Bring business cards. All members present will be entered into a drawing to win either “Featured Member of the Month” on the chamber website or a banner on the chamber’s website for one month. Championing Girls

Champion For Girls Mission Breakfast will benefit Champion For Girls of Long Island, Inc. and will be held starting at 7:30 a.m. at SUNY Farmingdale Campus Center Ballroom, 2350 Broadhollow Rd., Farmingdale. This is an opportunity to get a closer look at the work the organization is doing with girls and why it is so important. Nassau County District Attorney Madeline Singas will be delivering the keynote address. I Love My Park Day

Bethpage State Park will be celebrating the fifth annual I Love My Park Day, a statewide event to improve and enhance New York’s parks and historic sites and bring visibility to the entire park system and its needs. Various volunteer projects will be available to choose from, including picnic area/trail clean-up, table/BBQ repair and restore and painting polo boards. Business Resource Roundtable

The Melville Chamber of Commerce presents the Business Resource Roundtable from 8:30 to 10 a.m. at Five Towns College Faculty Lounge in the Main Building, 305 North Service Rd., Dix Hills. The roundtable provides a forum for members to bring their specific business questions, issues or problems to a group of peers. Based on their knowledge and experiences, attendees offer possible solutions and/or identify available resources that may assist in the solution. Participants can request solutions, offer experienced advice, and assist each other in bringing their companies to a higher level of performance. Attendance is limited, so registering is required. ‘Knight At The Races’

The Knights of Columbus St. Kilian Council #2204 present another night of food and fundraising fun at its hall at 1 Morton St., Farmingdale. The tellers will be open at 6:30 p.m., dinner starts at 7 p.m. and races start at 8 p.m. Tickets are $15 per person and include food, beverages and dessert. Spring Festival

The Kiwanis Club of Farmingdale presents its annual Spring Festival On the Green at Stop & Shop, 55 Motor Ave. at the corner of Main Street, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Featuring a large 100-plus vendor craft fair, a magnificent food court, giant inflatable rides, live musical entertainment and more.
