The Rotary Club of Great Neck’s Summer Community Band, made up of players of all ages and experience levels, is preparing for its 16th season—and it’s not too late to join. Preseason rehearsals will be held on Thursday nights in June at Great Neck House, 14 Arrandale Ave. Great Neck Park District Superintendent John Marra is a cosponsor of these concerts.

Several positions are still open, and players—old and new—of band instruments are encouraged to apply for membership. Simply call Personnel Director Michael Flamhaft at 516-829-8709.

The four free Wednesday night concerts will begin on July 6 at 7:30 p.m. on the Old Village Green. In the event of inclement weather, shows will be moved to the ice rink at the Parkwood Sports Complex, 65 Arrandale Ave. Regardless of location, the concert and parking are free, and attendees must bring their own chairs.
