American Made Flag Act Passes State Senate

The New York State Senate has passed “American Made Flag Act” legislation, which would require all American flags used by the State and local governments to be 100 percent made in America.
“Buying American flags from another country sends a terrible message to workers and businesses here at home,” said State Senator Jack Martins, who co-sponsored the legislation. “When the government flies the American flag, our country’s most sacred symbol, that flag should be made by American businesses with American workers. This would ensure that state and local tax dollars spent on American flags stay in America.”The legislation has been sent to the Assembly.
