On Thursday, May 26, Port Washington’s Schreiber High School badminton team, which is ranked number four in the county, beat Calhoun High School, which is ranked number three in the county, and won the Nassau County Badminton Championships.
The Port Washington team played a tough match, which was held at Jericho High School. The Port team fought a long battle to get to the top and ultimately came out victorious once again against some tough competition.
The last time the Port Washington badminton team won the championships was back in 2013.
It was a great feeling for the team to get the title back.
