Sweet Attends Apple’s Conference

Roslyn_WebLogoGray2Mitchell Sweet, a senior at Roslyn High School, was selected to attend Apple’s Worldwide Developer Conference in San Francisco being held this weekend.
Each year, Apple holds a contest for students to submit an app they have created. Thousands of students worldwide compete to earn one of the 350 coveted scholarships to attend the conference.
Sweet, an app developer for the past three years, developed an app for a travel camp that is utilized by staff, parents, and campers. The app provides communication throughout the summer on all destinations, scheduling, and points of interest.
At the conference, Sweet will gain the technical information needed to build the next generation of apps using the latest Apple technologies. He will attend labs to learn about implementing new technologies with expert advice from Apple engineers.
Sweet will be attending the Rochester Institute of Technology this fall. He will major in Web and Mobile Computing.
