A breakfast seminar, titled Busine$$ Incubation—Cash to Exit & Everything In-Between, will be hosted by North Hempstead Town Supervisor Judi Bosworth and Business & Tourism Development Corporation (BTDC) Executive Director Kim Kaiman, on Tuesday, July 12, from 8 to 10 a.m. at LaunchPad Long Island, 3 Grace Ave. in Great Neck.
This seminar will inform residents and prospective business owners about the benefits of collaborative workspaces and how they can help young millenials and entrepreneurs with their start-up and early-stage companies. Collaborative workspaces are co-working environments that provide professional services support (legal, finance, marketing, insurance), networking opportunities, conference rooms with televisions, high-speed wi-fi, video streaming, peer support and recreational/break amenities.
The panel will be moderated by Kaiman with opening remarks provided by Bosworth, and the special guest speaker will be Lieutenant Governor Kathy Hochul.
Bosworth recently attended the grand opening of LaunchPad Long Island and is excited about the upcoming seminar. “It is so critical that we have a vision for the future and equip our millennials with the knowledge they need to start up and operate successful businesses,” said Bosworth. “This seminar is poised to give entrepreneurs in our community the ability to understand the benefit of collaborative workspaces and how to finance their fledgling businesses.”
Hochul chairs the 10 Regional Economic Development Councils that have transformed the state’s economy by building upon regional strengths through long-term strategic plans, and also chairs the State Workforce Investment Board.
