Former New York State Senator and U.S. Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights John R. Dunne (above far left) was congratulated at a recent dinner at the Long Island Marriott for receiving the Nassau County Bar Association’s Distinguished Service Medallion by former Floral Park Mayor Ann Corbett and Bill Corbett, who received the Bar Association Award for 50 years of service. Bill Corbett is a member of the Nassau County Bar Sections on Elder Law, Wills, Trusts, Estates and Real Estate and is a member of the National Association of Elder Law Attorneys. Dunne, a Garden City native, is a former president of the Nassau County Bar Association and was a member of the wedding party when the Corbetts were married 50 years ago in Spring Valley, NY. Bill Corbett’s first job after he graduated from Fordham Law School was the campaign director for Dunne’s successful first campaign.
