Town of Oyster Bay 9/11 Memorial Ceremony
Oyster Bay Town Supervisor John Venditto invites all residents, their families and friends to attend the town’s 9/11 Memorial Ceremony to honor the memory of those lost on September 11, 2001. The ceremony will begin at 7 p.m. at Tobay Beach. Families of 9/11 victims interested in being on the mailing list can contact the town’s Department of Community & Youth Services at 516-797-7900.

Movie: Hail, Caesar!
The Bar Harbour library will show a 1:30 and 6:30 p.m. screening of the movie Hail, Caesar! in the Bar Harbour auditorium. Four-time Oscar-winning filmmakers Joel and Ethan Coen write and direct Hail, Caesar!, an all-star comedy set during the latter years of Hollywood’s Golden Age that follows a single day in the life of a studio fixer who is presented with plenty of problems to fix. Starring Josh Brolin, George Clooney, Alden Ehrenreich, Ralph Fiennes, Jonah Hill, Scarlett Johansson, Frances McDormand, Tilda Swinton, and Channing Tatum. (2016; PG-13, 1 hr 45 mins).

Marine and Outdoor Recreation Expo
Come down to the Captree State Park Boat Basin from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and enjoy classic rock, featuring the Joe Saladino band. There will be demonstrations in fly fishing, camping, surf casting, boating and water safety and boat displays. The annual event honors veterans and first responders and will feature activties such as arts and crafts, snapper fishing, coast guard boat demos and free refreshments. Adopt-A-Battalion Soldier’s Drive

AARP Defensive Driving
Coem get a discount on your insurance. Fee is $20 for AARP members and $25 for nonmembers. Payment is by check or money order made out to AARP. Class size is limited so registration is a must at the Reference Desk at either the Bar Harbour or Central Avenue building.
