The Village of Farmingdale Zoning Board of Appeals will meet at 7 p.m. at village hall, 361 Main St. in Farmingdale.
Day of Remembrance
The Farmingdale Summit, together with The South Farmingdale Fire Department (SFFD) invite all members of the community to “A Day of Remembrance” at 6:30 p.m. at the 9/11 Memorial at the Farmingdale Public Library, 116 Merritts Rd. in Farmingdale. This annual observance commemorates the events of September 11, 2001 and honors and remembers those who perished, pay tribute to those who served n the recovery operation and to show continued support for all those who were affected by the events. At 7:15 p.m., the SFFD, 819 Main St., South Farmingdale, invites participants to view their beautiful memorial area, witness a short ceremony and enjoy a light buffet.

Welcome New Business
The Farmingdale Chamber of Commerce will host a grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony at noon at Farmingdale Green Dry Cleaners, 129 Secatogue Ave., Farmingdale (next to Starbucks). The latest store at the Jefferson Plaza is a new addition to the transit-oriented housing growing around Farmingdale’s train station. Family-owned and -operated, it uses proudly uses eco-friendly and chemical-free methods.

Solemn Anniversary
The Farmingdale United Methodist Church, 407 Main St, Farmingdale, will honor all emergency service workers, “today’s Good Samaritans,” at its 9:30 a.m. service on Sunday, Sept. 11. the 15th anniversary of 9-11. All Farmingdale firemen/emergency responders and their families are invited to attend, as is the general public.

Business Resource Roundtable
Wild Rose Bar & Grill, 1660 New Highway, will be the location of the roundtable, hosted by C2G Environmental from 8:30 to 10 a.m. The Melville-East Farmingdale Chamber of Commerce presents a forum for chamber members to bring their specific business questions, issues or problems to a group of peers. Based on their knowledge and experiences, attendees offer possible solutions and/or identify available resources that may assist in the solution. Roundtable participants can request solutions, offer experienced advice, and assist each other in bringing their companies to a higher level of performance. Attendance is limited, so registering is required. Free for members, $30 for non-members.
