The Farmingdale Chamber of Commerce will conduct a grand reopening and ribbon-cutting ceremony for Weichert Realtors-Performance Homes, located at 847 Fulton St., Farmingdale, at noon. Fighting Juvenile Diabetes

The Juvenile Diabetes Team Sienna Chinese & Silent Auction will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. at Changing Times, 1247 Melville Rd., Farmingdale. For $30, participants get admission and 24 chances in auction. Baskets are valued at a minimum $75 and auction includes trips to the East End wineries with transporation, tickets to shows, a Dell laptop, comedy club tickets in Manhattan and much more. Octoberfest Celebration

St Luke’s Lutheran Church, 170 Conklin St., Farmingdale, will host its annual celebration from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Great food, beer garden, German entertainment, children’s activities, books, homemade crafts and baked goods, jewelry, raffles, farm produce and more. Fun for all ages and admission is free.

The Farmingdale United Methodist Church, 407 Main St., Farmingdale, presents Peter Stanganelli & Rapture, a contemporary Christian band that has played at many venues in the tri-state area including the Jones Beach summer Christian series. Doors open at7 p.m. with complimentary coffee and desserts and the program begins at 7:30 p.m. Long Island recording artist Stanganelli is also the founder and president of Christian Music Ministry of America (CMMA), which has sponsored numerous concerts to raise money for various charities. The public is invited. Suggested donation is $5.

Firehouse Tour

The South Farmingdale Fire Department will host an Open House from 2 to 5 p.m. at its headquarters, 819 Main St., Farmingdale. Featuring firetruck and ambulance tours, a live demonstration of the “Jaws of Life,” information on pet CPR/first aid, giveaways, a Teddy Bear Clinic, blood pressure screenings, oven fire demonstrations, “Umi,” the fire accelerant detecting dog and much more.
