A suspect was arrested Wednesday for allegedly killing a 31-year-old man in the victim’s hometown of Hempstead last month, Nassau County police said.

Marvin Yanez, 42, of Mineola, was charged with second-degree murder and assault.

Police said Yanez killed Luis Rustrian Estrada, who was found suffering from injuries in Brierley Park on Oct. 18 and died shortly later at a local hospital.

Yanez will be arraigned Thursday at First District Court in Hempstead.
