For the third year, all three elementary schools in the Plainedge School District will be utilizing the Olweus Bullying Prevention Program with students. The program is designed to create positive changes in students’ behavior and in the school climate so students feel safe, are ready to learn and can achieve academic success. Students at Eastplain Elementary School made their quilts, which included a square from each student and is designed to the theme of friendship and promoting positive messages. The activity served to kickoff the school’s program for the year.
