Massapequa Park Pedestrian Fatally Hit by Truck

A 26-year-old Seaford woman was fatally struck by a truck while crossing Sunrise Highway early Thursday morning.

Nassau County police said Rebecca M. Tighe was hit by an eastbound tow truck at the corner of Park Boulevard at 4:45 a.m.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Homicide Squad detectives are continuing the investigation.
