Siblings Matthew McDonald and Mary Kampfer of Farmingdale brought their respective children, Jack, 7, and John Paul, 2, to the Farmingdale Village tree lighting celebration near the gazebo on the Village Green in Farmingdale on Dec. 1.
Mayor Ralph Ekstrand, with an assist from the children in attendance, did the countdown honors for the new 22-foot Norway spruce, planted earlier this fall to replace a long serving tree that had met its demise. For more on happenings in the village see the Mayor’s Column.
