During the Inn at Great Neck Christmas tree lighting, community members enjoyed snacks, cookies and eggnog while the Great Neck South High School chorus, under the direction of Dr. Pamela Levy, serenaded the crowd with Christmas and Hanukkah songs. The performance concluded with a rousing rendition of “Jingle Bells” that had most of the room, including Great Neck Plaza Mayor Jean Celender and Trustee Pamela A. Marksheid, singing along. Of course, Santa Claus stopped by to pose for pictures. As the tree was lit, impromptu singing and applause was heard from the crowd.
