An accused drunken diver was arrested for allegedly causing a crash that killed a 52-year-old motorcyclist in the suspect’s hometown of Selden early Saturday morning, Suffolk County police said.
Francis Quinn, 59, was charged with driving while intoxicated.
Police said Quinn was drunk while driving a Jeep Grand Cherokee northbound on College Road when he struck a southbound Harley Davidson while making a left to turn onto Palm Street at 1:09 a.m.
The motorcyclist, Christopher Vorisek, of Farmingville, was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Quinn was not injured. He will be arraigned Saturday at First District Court in Central Islip.
Major Case Unit detectives impounded both vehicles, are continuing the investigation and ask anyone with information on the crash is asked to call them at 631-852-6555.
