A 28-year-old man was stabbed to death while attending a wedding party in his hometown of Copiague on Saturday night and a suspect was arrested the following day, Suffolk County police said.
Anyelo Rosario got into an altercation with Jose Collado-Nunez, 29, of Lindenhurst, who stabbed Rosario at the party at a home on Amerigo Vespucci Avenue at 8:20 p.m., police said.
The victim was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The suspect was also taken to a local hospital, where he was treated for minor injuries. He was later charged with first-degree manslaughter.
Collado-Nunez will be arraigned Monday at First District Court in Central Islip.
