A 20-year-old man was killed when his motorcycle collided with an SUV in his hometown of Central Islip on Memorial Day.

Suffolk County police said Marc Rivera was riding a Yamaha when he crashed into a Honda CRV that was making a right turn from Bella Casa Lane onto Suffolk Avenue at 9:40 p.m. Monday.

Rivera was taken to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore, where he was pronounced dead. The other driver was hospitalized for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Third Squad detectives impounded the vehicles, are continuing the investigation and ask anyone with information on the crash is to call them at 631-854-8352.
