Letter: Paging Governor LePage

We should tell Maine’s “bombastically foolish,” as stated in a recent Hicksville News editorial, Governor Paul LePage, who said in his “stupid and willfully ignorant of history” statement that “the sooner the print press goes away, the better society will be,” that true Americans prefer Thomas Jefferson’s 1787 words that “Were it left to me to decide whether we should have a government without newspapers, or newspapers without a government, I should not hesitate a moment to prefer the latter.” I don’t know whether or not Governor LePage is related to the LePage company that has long made glue products for schoolchildren and other uses, but I’d love to see him apply some of their glues to his loose lips.
