During the Maccabiah Games in Israel this past summer three Great Neck athletes, Joshua Haberman, Jessica Schreck and Marc Ziarno, played soccer for Team USA.
Haberman, who currently plays for Princeton University, won gold while on the Open Soccer Team, defeating Great Britain in the finals.
Schreck not only won a silver medal, but also enjoyed traveling the country and bonding with her teammates.
Ziarno has been playing soccer since he was 4. He called the 2017 games the “ultimate reward in [his] soccer career” and left the tournament with new friends and memories that will last a lifetime.
