Roxanne Among Dogs Seeking Homes on Long Island

Roxanne

Too often animals wind up at local shelters as strays, with no history or owners. While these voiceless souls can’t tell us where they’ve been, they can prove their sweet and affectionate ways would make them an amazing best friend to any lucky human.

Keeping in mind that we should never judge a book by its cover, we introduce you to Roxanne! She recently came to the Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter as a stray, already missing one eye. This is quite unusual, especially since no owner was ever found.

But staff and volunteers at the shelter say Roxanne is a true gem. She’s very sweet, a joy to be with and is quite affectionate. If that’s not enough, Roxanne gets along well with other dogs and is even housebroken!

Can’t as for more that’s for sure! If you are interested in adopting this sweet gal, please call the shelter for more information at 516-785-5220, visit them at 3320 Beltagh Ave. in Wantagh or email adoption@tohmail.org

As always, thanks for reading and please remember to always adopt, never shop…pass it on!
