More than 250 individuals showed off their holiday spirit at the Ugly Sweater Party on Dec. 10 at the Stonebridge Country Club in Mt. Sinai. They came to party and support an important cause: Holiday Dreams.

Holiday Dreams was created 10 years ago to provide holiday cheer and presents to those who may be challenged during the holiday season. Beginning with about 100 families, this year, bags of gifts for 500 children and their families will be given out at the pick-up party on Dec. 22.

Holiday Dreams works with charity partners to qualify individuals that include nonprofits that serve the under-served, such as group homes, domestic violence shelters and other organizations. This year, the charity partners include Kids Clubhouse, Timothy Hill Residential Centers, Long Island Adolescent and Family Services, Angela’s House, Nassau County, Mommas House, Suffolk Aspergers/Autism Support and Information, Rescuing Families Inc., Angels of Long Island, and Eastern Suffolk BOCES.

Party goers brought gifts, played games and donated money to support children and families. While doing good, they partied to music and delicious food. They walked out with prizes and positive feelings for their support of this worthwhile cause. For more information, visit holidaydreamsli.com
