The Spencer Foundation, in partnership with the nonprofit KiDS NEED MORE, held its first Fishing for a Cause fundraiser Saturday on the Captain Eddie B III in Captree State Park.

Thirty-five attendees went aboard in search of fluke, enjoying catered lunch on the way. The group landed a catch of $1,280 that The Spencer Foundation will use to bring fun to kids with cancer and their families.

The Spencer Foundation, founded in 2016, was created to provide resources for children and their families coping with cancer. The Spencer Foundation wishes to thank all who participated, especially to the captain and crew that made it all possible.
