Specialized Autism Support & Information (SASI) held a ribbon cutting for its new office in Ronkonkoma on Saturday, March 20. The event marked the expansion of SASI’s programs and resources to enrich the lives of children and families affected by autism.

“The larger space underscores the demand for expanded resources at a centralized location,” said Priscilla Area, founder and executive director of SASI. “Our mission is to increase the breadth and depth of programs and services for parents, siblings, and individuals on the autism spectrum that benefit them in gaining independence and confidence.”

Attendees at the ribbon cutting met the new executive board and advisory panel and learned about SASI’s plans for upcoming programs and fundraisers. Visitors also received a free raffle for a door prize and enjoyed light refreshments.

Donor sponsorships for a Leaf of Love on SASI’s Giving Tree are available, where the sponsor’s name will be inscribed on a brass leaf inside the new office.
