Adventureland in Farmingdale is Long Island’s longest-running amusement park.

Adventureland’s 2022 season marks the amusement park’s 60th birthday, which will be celebrated with brand-new additions beginning March 26.

The fan-favorite, family-friendly park in Farmingdale will debut a new roller coaster, the FireBall; new game, the High Striker; and new claw machines inside its climate-controlled arcade.

The FireBall is the fourth of its kind in the world and first and only in North America, according to an Adventureland news release. It is a rollerball roller coaster manufactured and custom designed by  the prestigious Ride Engineers of Switzerland (RES). It will be located next to Adventureland’s Wave Swing and be visible to drivers on Route 110.

The FireBall will also feature energy saving LED lights and an “LED eternal ‘flame’ representing the everlasting memories that  Long Island families make at Adventureland each year,” the news releases says.

The new High Striker game is a modern twist on the classic hammer game – “a showstopper that lights up Adventureland’s iconic midway with  more energy saving LED lights.”

In addition, the park has added more ticket redemption and ticket purchasing windows for quicker entry into the park through its new Main Gate Plaza.

At Tony’s Tavern, the park is introducing new alcoholic beverages, including Wine Slushies, Cayman Jack Margaritas, and limited-edition A-Land Ale, which is only available at  Adventureland.

Adventureland’s opening weekend is March 26 and 27. Daily tickets, season passes, and gift cards are available online at adventureland.us.
