Saadia Z. Yunis
The Ronkonkoma-based Association for Mental Health and Wellness elected Yunis to its board of directors. Yunis runs a private marriage and family therapy practice based in Deer Park, is co-founder and chair of Muslim Women of Long Island, and is a licensed marriage and family therapist, trauma specialist, motivational speaker, and community leader.
Dr. Edmond Hakimi
Wellbridge Addiction Treatment and Research appointed Hakimi as its medical director. He is a highly renowned board-certified internal medicine physician with fellowship training in addiction medicine from Brigham and Women’s Hospital, an affiliate of Harvard Medical School, where he currently serves as part time faculty. He specializes in treating patients with substance-use disorders and concurrent psychiatric diagnoses while conducting clinical research to develop novel treatments for these disorders.
Adjuvant.Health, Powered by Allied Physicians Group, which provides administrative support for practicing physicians, has named Baker as the organization’s new acting chief operating officer. She also serves as Adjuvant.Health’s chief experience officer, which she will continue to hold the responsibilities of in her new role.
Catholic Health’s St. Joseph Hospital has named Nelson as its new president, who will oversee all areas of operations at St. Joseph Hospital, with a particular focus on executing strategies for growth, continued improvement in quality and patient experience, while boosting employee engagement and workforce development. Most recently, he served as vice president of operations for NYU Langone Hospital – Long Island, formerly Winthrop-University Hospital.
King Kullen Grocery Co., Inc. has promoted Seepersaud from supervisor of accounts payable to senior manager of accounts. Seepersaud and her team will be in charge of most accounts payable functions across all departments, including expense billings.
Dr. Ravi Shah
Shah has joined Orlin & Cohen as a pain management specialist. He was previously a fellow in the Department of Anesthesia at Mount Sinai Hospital in Manhattan.
King Kullen Grocery Co., Inc. has promoted Maricevic, who most recently served as internal audit manager, to senior manager of store audit and inventory controls. Maricevic will utilize her years of experience in accounting, store audit, store operations, and most recently, inventory control.
Dr. Jeffrey A. Goldstein
Goldstein has joined Orlin & Cohen as a spine specialist. He was previously chief resident of Bioskills Lab Education at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra.
