Joy Pak, major gift officer at Sun River Health, received the Irish American Heritage Award as Person of Distinction at a ceremony in Hauppauge on Friday, March 24.
Pak accepted the award, accompanied by her husband, Dr. Sang Pak, and was recognized for her work at Sun River Health. Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone was the keynote speaker.
The nomination was made by Suffolk County Legislator Bridget Fleming. Nominations are considered for candidates who have impacted the county and country through their efforts, empowerment and commitment to the community. They are recognized for leadership skills and ability to help create a more equitable society.
