About Friends of the Bay:
The Friends of the Bay’s mission is to preserve, protect and restore the ecological integrity and productivity of the Oyster Bay/Cold Spring Harbor Estuary and surrounding watershed.
Friends of the Bay conducts water quality monitoring in Oyster Bay and Cold Spring Harbor. The organization also sponsors community events that take place on the water and beaches and it works with citizens and local government officials for wetland restoration and habitat protection. We are monitoring planning for the Eastern Waterfront, involving the public, landowners, and town and state governments.
