John Staluppi, Sr. – CEO & President

SOV NYAG JohnStaluppiJohn is the auto king of Long Island.

With an unparalleled love of cars running through his veins, he has taken his passion and turned it into a vocation. Staluppi harnessed his vision to bring first the Honda brand to Long Island, then Hyundai. He has built upon that success to include more than 22 dealerships spanning multiple car brands, from Lexus and Infiniti to the original Honda and Hyundai, keeping intact his mantra that “Every visitor to our dealership is an honored guest in our home, every day, every time, without fail, no exceptions.”

SOV NYAG JohnPickettJohn has a long history in the auto industry, beginning in 1996 at Lexus of Massapequa, where he rose through the ranks from general manager to his present position—propelled by an unwavering commitment to excellence. He serves on the advisory boards of both Lexus and Toyota Dealers and is an active member of the Cancer Coalition for Kids since 2004. He has also made major sponsorship donations to the Make a Wish Foundation for the past five years.


Michael Brown – Partner

SOV NYAG MichaelBrownMichael Brown graduated Boston University with a BS in Business Management and an MSA in Business Consulting in 1993, where he was also a four-year football letterman for a Division 1AA Football team.

From 1997-1999, Michael was the President at Sportique Jaguar/Porsche of Huntington, a former family business. He ran day-to-day operations for Marubeni Corporation, and was then awarded an open Jaguar point in Southampton, NY that finished number-one in the nation in customer service satisfaction in 1999. Also during that time, he was a two-time winner of the Pride of Jaguar award and a two-time Porsche Premier Dealer.

After this time, he was the Area Group Vice President for seven years. In this position, he worked with Inskip AutoMall directing day-to-day operations of a 10-franchise luxury auto mall. Their brands included BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Lexus, Infiniti, Volvo, Audi, Porsche, Bentley, Acura and Nissan. Inskip’s annual revenue exceeded $450 million during Michael’s time there. Michael also directed and was a key player in Inskip’s $75 million renovation project that included new facilities for all of the brands. During his tenure, Michael received many factory awards, including: BMW Circle of Excellence (three-time winner), Porsche Premier Dealer, and Audi Magna Society.

Michael Brown began his career with the Atlantic Auto Group in April of 2007 as their Vice President of Operations, and has since introduced many successful processes in all aspects of their daily business. He is known and loved by the NY Auto Giant employees for his always-there, always-helpful and easily approachable, down-to-earth personality.

Thomas Lederer – Chief Information Officer

Boasting a diverse background in journalism, automotive finance and career counseling, he approaches his job overseeing human resources and various IT and strategic planning projects with an impressive skillset punctuated by boundless talent and ambition.

Jeff Peck – Training Director

SOV NYAG JeffPeckJeff has taken his substantial experience in the automotive industry, combined with a talent for helping and teaching others, and turned it into a comprehensive and innovative training program for the sales department. Under the tutelage of speakers such as Joe Verde and Zig Zeigler, Jeff is tasked with developing the sales staff into the leaders of the automotive industry. Toni Anne Fardette – Director of Business Development

Ronnie has a varied history in the auto industry, from automotive and diesel technician to first floor, then sales, and finally general manager. He has led his team to two major achievements: the Mark of Excellence Award every consecutive year since 2007 and the prestigious General Motors Dealer of the Year Award in 2011.

Thabiti oversees all of Toyota of Huntington’s daily operations as the general manager. In 2013, Toyota of Huntington received the President’s Award, one of Toyota Motor Sales’ most prestigious awards for that year. Thabiti and his team pride themselves on contributing to many local business causes and charitable events, such as local pet adoptions, local races and walks, Huntington Matters (an organization dedicated to building a safe and healthy community in Huntington), as well as supporting of the local Walt Whitman and Huntington high schools. Thabiti says, “I lead by example, and I feel because so many of my team watched as I came up the ranks, they know that I am in it with them. I accept both successes and failures as part of the team, because that is what I am.”

General Manager: Justin Haynes
As a student at Georgetown University, Justin took an internship at Penske Automotive Group that would prove to be the start of a beautiful career. After graduating in 2003, he began his ascent through the world of auto dealerships as a sales consultant at Inskip Infiniti in Rhode Island. From there, he moved up, from sales to Internet, finance and sales manager. He harnessed that experience into a job as the pre-owned manager for Lexus of Rockville Centre. When an opportunity opened up in 2009 to be the general manager of Atlantic Audi, Justin seized it. He led that team to become the tri-state area’s only Google five-star rated, two-time Magna Award-winning Audi retailer. So when NY Auto Giant acquired Anchor Audi and renamed it Audi Lynbrook, Justin was the top choice to lead the team.

General Manager: Peter Zorzy
Peter brings 23 years of automotive experience and customer advocacy to Atlantic Toyota. His record of success has followed him—from the Penske Auto Group, where he was the director of fixed operations, to the general manager position at Millennium Honda, where, until his transfer to Atlantic Toyota, he helped to lead the team in a positive direction. He’s trained that same eye for customer satisfaction on the Atlantic Toyota location and has enjoyed the success New York Auto Giant has come to expect.

Under Jason’s watch, Atlantic Nissan has held its place as the number-one Nissan store in the United States for three months in 2009 and as number-two ever since. The youngest of the GMs in New York Auto Giant, Jason’s energy and focus have made him a force to be reckoned with. With 11 years in the automotive industry, Jason holds his place as one of the top-five tenured general managers in the group.

General Manager: Daniel Toomey
Daniel is a record-shattering producer, one whose abilities to surpass goals has earned him his place as the general manager of the number-one Hyundai dealer in the nation eight separate times and the number-two volume dealer four times. His focus, drive, and talent have been the driving forces behind the success of his 20-year career.

General Manager: Anthony Tocante
Anthony has followed a philosophy throughout his storied 24 years with the New York Auto Giant group—first as a finance manager, then sales manager, and finally as general manager at Advantage Toyota—that has allowed him to earn both the trust of his customers and the respect of his colleagues: “Treat each customer as we would a guest in our home,” he says. He became one of the top performers while simultaneously earning his degree in Music Education from Hofstra University. His passion for the car business became his ultimate priority. His passion catapulted his career success taking him from an Inventory Manager, to a Sales Manager, to a General Sales Manager, and as of September 2015 is now the General Manager of Atlantic Volkswagen. Mike is excited for the opportunity to make Atlantic Volkswagen the premiere destination for a world class customer experience in both our sales and service departments.

General Manager: Dan Toomey Jr.
You could say Dan grew up in the car business, having started at 16 and returning after graduating college at SUNY Albany to climb the ropes, from finance manager to used car manager to new car manager at the Atlantic Auto Mall. The general manager of Advantage Hyundai, Dan’s success comes from his focus on high employee morale, knowing instinctively that happy and satisfied salespeople will be able to turn that positivity onto their customers, resulting in a favorable purchase experience. This philosophy has made Advantage Hyundai rise from 17th to sixth place in sales nationally, as the loyal referral base under his leadership return time and time again.

Ronnie’s start in the automobile industry began as an Automotive and Diesel technician. He then moved into the sales end of the industry as a sales trainee at Westbury Toyota in 1995. He then progressed to Floor manager and Sales manager. He moved to Queens Nissan as General Sales manager in 1998 and moved into the General Manager position in 1999. In 2002, he made the move to Suffolk County as a used car manager at Atlantic Chevrolet and Cadillac. In a very short period of time, his work ethic was second to none, and he was promoted to General Manager in the latter part of 2002 and has been with Atlantic Chevrolet & Cadillac ever since.
