The National Weather Service in Upton has issued a Blizzard Watch for Long Island, New York City, and other parts of the region in effect from late Monday night through Tuesday evening.
The winter storm warning means “severe winter weather conditions are expected or occurring,” the weather service said on its website.
The National Weather Service’s Upton office on Thursday issued a winter weather advisory from 10 p.m. Thursday through 2 p.m. Friday.
