Nassau County Third Squad detectives report the details of an arrest, which occurred in Floral Park, Monday, May 11, at 11:53 p.m.
According to Detective Occhino, the defendant, Robert Greco, 27, of Floral Park was at TJ O’Rourkes Bar, located at 318 Jericho Turnpike in Floral Park Centre when he was involved in an altercation with a male victim, 24 years of age, which began as a verbal argument and escalated when the defendant produced a black handled knife and cut the victim causing two deep lacerations on his arm.
The defendant fled the scene and subsequent to a search of the area, Floral Park Police located and placed him in custody without incident.
The defendant is charged with assault 2nd degree and possession of a dangerous weapon 4th degree and was slated for arraignment on May 12 at First District Court in Hempstead. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
