Our next Gazebo Concert will be held August 6th. Sponsored by TAP to POINTE Dance School of Williston Park, “The MAS Jazz Trio” will be performing at 7 p.m. The Gene Benedetto concert, sponsored by PETER ANDREWS, has been rescheduled to Thursday August 27th at 7 p.m. Please join us for another evening of music at The Gazebo.
Thank you to the wonderful staff of the Williston Park Pool. The crowds have returned once the clouds and rain lifted and they are keeping very busy at the pool. Swimming lessons, daily sport and craft activities and swim team practice are all posted on the bulletin boards. Please remember to use caution while driving in and around the pool parking lots and Broad Street. Many families walk and kids ride their bicycles in and out of the pool gates. SLOW DOWN and drive with caution throughout our Village.

We are awaiting final approval on our latest road project for portions of the northside of the village. Residents will be notified when the work will begin. Some tree work has begun in preparation for this roadwork. This latest road project is 4 years in the making and we look forward to actually beginning road work when the NYS DOT gives us the go ahead. I want all residents to know that a priority for me has been finding ways to repair and repave our roads without having to raise taxes dramatically to do so. The saying “a million dollars a mile” is quite true. These projects take a long time just to plan and await approval, so we are quite anxious to begin the next round for additional roads throughout the village. We have recently begun investigating other funding options, so as not to have to resort to raising taxes. I will keep you all updated of our progress.
Our next Village Of Williston Park Board meeting will be on Monday Aug. 17 at 8 p.m. Please join us to find out the facts and ask your questions. Let’s work together as neighbors, for the better of all residents. Joining established committees within the Village is always welcomed and encouraged. Ask any trustee for information on committees or call Village Hall. New members are encouraged.
