Sailors Interested In Racing Take Note!
Sagamore Yacht Club sponsors a racing program every Wednesday evening in Oyster Bay. These races are open to any sailboat owners who may be interested in racing their boat in a casual environment. And, it is not necessary to belong to Sagamore Yacht Club to race.
After each Wednesday evening race, participants gather at Sagamore Yacht Club to discuss racing situations. Experienced sailors are always eager to provide racing advise to any one who may have a sail trim or tactic question, whether it’s a hypothetical situation or, even better, one that just happened on the race course.
Wednesday evening racing covers a period of 20 races starting in May with an awards ceremony in October. But a new racer can jump in any time.
