Carole Brown Knows Oyster Bay
Carole Brown called to identify the mystery picture in the Oct. 8 issue of the Oyster Bay Enterprise Pilot. Ms. Brown, a social worker with the Oyster Bay-East Norwich School District, said, “I look at the mystery picture all the time – but this one I knew! I know an Oyster Bay High School graduation when I see it! I’m a 23-year veteran of the district. I never guessed one before. I finally feel like I know the town!”
That deserves a double congratulation!
Chet Robbins sent an email answer. He said, “It’s the front lawn of Oyster Bay High School. I graduated from there in 1962 and revisited it in 1996 and felt as if I had never left the place!
“There’s a whole group of us ex-East Norwich/Oyster Bay people living here in the East Bay of San Francisco.
“I enjoy keeping up with the happenings in the Oyster Bay area via the computer,” he said.
We, too, enjoy our connections with OB-EN people across the Internet. It’s always a delight to hear from more of you!
And – just to keep things up to date: Billy Minicozzi called to say the picture was of the Oyster Bay High School. As for sports, he is happy about the Yankees going to the World Series – after all they are a New York team. He is glad that the Los Angeles Angels – the former Bronx Bombers – will be playing against them. It is something for all of us New Yorkers/Long Islanders to look forward to.
