There is no keeping a good Trojan down – not fitful rain, gusty wind or a tough opponent on the field. In a shut-out of 28-0, Garden City’s varsity football team made this year’s Homecoming game one to remember.
“I am really proud of how well the team is playing this season – they are fun and exciting to watch,” Athletic Director Nancy Kalafus said. “I am really happy that the heavy rain held off until after the wonderful halftime show.”
At the high school pep rally Friday afternoon, students raised the roof with unbridled enthusiasm as the high school teams were introduced in anticipation of Homecoming. The kick line, cheerleaders, marching band and color guard entertained students during the Pep Rally and wowed the fans at Saturday’s halftime show.
