The Dalers varsity black roller hockey team, coached by Jim Gunn, Gabe Vitale, and Steve Sloane, currently holds second place in the Island-wide Roller Hockey High School League. Their record is nine wins, four losses, and one overtime loss for a total of 19 points in Division 1.
Farmingdale came out strong against Oceanside, with a Daler win against the Sailors ending an exciting game at 4-3. Goalie Nick Ceriello stopped 22 shots on net by Oceanside and was a key player in the win. For Farmingdale, Corey Grant scored the first goal, off the pass by Nick Vitale. Oceanside then tied it at one. Joseph Kennedy set up Christian Letourneau for the second goal, giving Farmingdale a 2-1 edge at the end of the first period. In the final period, Anthony Koslow scored a short-handed goal assisted by John Gunn. Tom Jermyn put the puck in the net assisted by Christian Letourneau. Oceanside threatened and scored two more but the Dalers were able to hold on for the 4-3 win. Farmingdale had 24 shots on goal and Christian Letourneau was the Farmingdale star of the game.
In the next match up, both Farmingdale varsity teams had to face each other. The black beat the white 8-0. John Gunn led the black with one goal and three assists. Anthony Koslow and Scott Dwyer scored two. All three were named the stars of the game. The other offensive contributors were Tom Jermyn with two goals, and Christian Letourneau with one. Zach Wetzel had two assists followed by Nick Vitale with one. Goalie Nick Ceriello stopped 17 shots for the black and Anthony Chille stopped 18 for the white.
In the game against the Island Trees Bulldogs, the Dalers won 9-1. Farmingdale dominated the game and had 21 shots on net. Goalie Nick Ceriello stopped 13 shots by the Bull Dogs. Corey Grant led the offense with four goals and one assist followed by Anthony Koslow with a goal and three assists, and Tom Jermyn with a goal and an assist. Other goal scorers were Connor Robertson, Nick Vitale, and Joseph Kennedy. Scott Dwyer, John Gunn, and Zach Wetzel also contributed with assists. The Farmingdale stars of the game were Grant, Koslow, and Jermyn.
