Garden City Detectives Make Significant Heroin Arrest

Police Commissioner Ernest Cipullo to Participate in Heroin Task Force

During an investigation with the Nassau County Police Department, Garden City Detectives developed information of drug activity in Parking Field 9E. During this investigation, it was determined that three individuals from Suffolk County (a 20-year-old female, a 21-year-old male, and a 23-year-old male) were in possession of numerous glassine bags of alleged heroin.

Police said that the female was charged with possession of heroin and hypodermic needles, the 23-year-old male was charged with possession of heroin and the 21-year-old male was charged with possession of heroin with intent to sell.

At the Garden City Board of Trustees meeting on Feb. 4, Police Commissioner Ernest Cipullo said that the three people who were arrested were slated to make this heroin delivery to a Garden City resident. “I will be attending a meeting of the Joint Heroin Task Force next week,” Cipullo said. “It is happening, and unfortunately we are finding people in the village with problems using narcotics.”
