Organic Turf Show

This unique event demonstrates to green industry professionals current “organic” methods that help reduce chemical pesticide use. It is the leading event of its kind for our region. Play Golf with Len Berman

Ever dream of playing a sport with a celebrity? Make that dream a reality by attending Mill Neck Family’s fourth annual Spring Swing Invitational Golf Tournament, to be held at the North Hills Country Club in Manhasset on May 24. Sportscaster and author Len Berman will join the event, where he’ll play golf and speak at the Champions Dinner. Entries are limited to the first 25 men’s, ladies’ or mixed foursomes. All golfers will receive an autographed copy of Berman’s new book The Greatest Moments in Sports. Additional copies will be available for purchase during the fun-filled evening portion of the event. For an entry fee of only $350 per person, guests will enjoy delicious brunch, golf challenges and food and refreshments on the 7th, 10th and 12th holes of the course. Cocktails, a Champions Dinner, honoree recognition, raffle prizes, a silent auction and golf contest awards will follow the tournament. Don’t play golf? H1N1 Flu Vaccines Available Throughout February

The NuHealth System will provide HINI vaccinations at the Nassau University Medical Center as follows: Thursdays, Feb. 18 and 25 from 6 to 10 p.m. Vaccines will be administered in the 
NUMC auditorium (Carman Ave. entrance). Tax Preparation Program

For those Long Islanders unable to prepare their own tax returns, Bethpage Federal Credit Union, will provide low to moderate income households the opportunity to benefit from the government’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program, which offers free tax return assistance for taxpayers. Qualifying individuals with 2009 incomes of $49,000 and below are eligible and can receive assistance. •Bingo every Monday and some Saturdays there is a Bingo Game to support the Arthritis Foundation LI Chapter. •Do You Speak Yinglish? The Yiddish Club, an entertaining, enjoyable, social experience, allows individuals of varying language abilities to speak “Yinglish,” a combination of Yiddish and English.
