Letter: Vote for Reardon

Alan Reardon, a public servant for many years, will be running for Mayor of the Village of Williston Park on March 16.  In my opinion, he will lead the residents with integrity, intelligence and honesty.  I am confident that Alan Reardon’s government will be devoid of self-interest and his decisions will be made with the best interests of the community in mind. He has already marked a path for change by and through the following anticipated measures:

• In an exercise of transparency and open dialogue, bi-weekly meetings or “talks” (open to all) will be held with new mayor Reardon to discuss matters that are important to the constituency.

• Mayor Reardon will exercise an immediate pay-cut for himself as mayor and the village board.

• Mayor Reardon will form a committee to develop a long-term plan for the future of the Village of Williston Park.

• Mayor Reardon will secure state-of-the-art equipment for the fire department, EMS and auxiliary police to put those civil servants in the best position to serve and protect the residents.

If you want a government with transparency, sustainability and a government “by the people and for the people,” there is only one choice, vote for Alan Reardon for Mayor of Williston Park.

Thomas Granger, Williston Park
