On a very cold, very dark and rainy day, the hearty souls of the Town of North Hempstead gathered together to raise money for the Special Olympics.
The event was packed as each and every participant “plunged” into the icy waters of North Hempstead and quickly exited. All the proceeds were given to the Special Olympics for this event.
