Inspiring Author to Visit Mill Neck
Jennifer Rosner, author of the inspiring book, If A Tree Falls: A Family’s Quest to Hear and Be Heard, will be visiting the Mill Neck Manor School for the Deaf campus from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the Deaf Education Center Auditorium. Rosner will be speaking about her experiences as well as autographing her book, which will be available for purchase at the event. The book traces the amazing journey of one mother’s love for her children. When her daughters are born deaf, with no known family history of deafness, Rosner searches for meaning. The journey takes her back generations through her family tree, until she discovers deaf ancestors. Her personal account of life’s unpredictable moments and her reflection on the experiences of her ancestors, are truly inspirational. Light refreshments will be served. Entry limited. Spring Swing
Mill Neck Family’s fourth annual Spring Swing Invitational Golf Tournament will be held at the North Hills Country Club in Manhasset. Sportscaster and author Len Berman will join the event, where he’ll play golf and speak at the Champions Dinner. Entries are limited to the first 25 men’s, ladies’ or mixed foursomes. All golfers will receive an autographed copy of Berman’s new book The Greatest Moments in Sports. Additional copies will be available for purchase. For an entry fee of $350 per person, guests will enjoy delicious brunch, golf challenges and food and refreshments on the 7th, 10th and 12th holes of the course. Cocktails, a Champions Dinner, honoree recognition, raffle prizes, a silent auction and golf contest awards will follow the tournament. Don’t play golf?
