Obituary – Celia Froehlich

Celia Froehlich, a native of Brooklyn, was a resident of Farmingdale for 46 years. During that time, she worked for Republic Aviation and Sperry Corp. as a logistics specialist. Celia was especially proud of the degree she earned from SUNY Farmingdale.

In 2006, Celia left her beloved Farmingdale and moved to Massachusetts to live with her daughter Frances. In September of 2008, she learned she had cancer and courageously faced her disease as she did all other challenges she faced in her life. Celia died at home on Dec. 11, 2009 at the age of 92.

Celia Froehlich is survived by her loving daughter Frances; her dear sister Helen Mohrwinkle; her deceased sisters, Wanda, Lucille, Lolly; her nieces, Celia Madill, Barbara Carey, Mary Weippert, Doreen Flock; and her nephew Edmund Kelly.

There will be a memorial service on June 12 from 2 to 5 p.m. at the William Law Funeral Home, 1 Jerusalem Ave., Massapequa (541-8070).
