Mrs. Lauren Marino, Island Trees High School Varsity Softball coach, was recently named Coach of the Year in her softball conference at a Nassau County Coaches Meeting. Coach Marino’s peers selected her for this prestigious recognition.
Coach Marino led her talented team to an incredible Conference Championship, with her players receiving the following distinctions; juniors Taylor Tedeschi and Justine Abramowksi named All-County; Tori Tedeschi and Brittany Ciaramitaro named All-Conference, and Nicole Pellegrino named All-Division.
“Coach Marino did a great job this year,” junior Taylor Tedeschi said. “She had a lot of patience, and she made it fun to come to practice every day.”
The team is very proud of Coach Marino and the excellent work she had done to make a difference in the lives of the Island Trees High School athletes.
