Obituary – Walter R. Kranich

Walter R. Kranich, 86, of Farmingdale (also known as Ramsey when growing up in Baldwin), passed away at his home Dec. 3, 2010. Husband of the late Dorothy, his wife of 58 years. Father of three sons, Gary, Wes and Chris. Father-in-law of Donna and Heather. Grandfather of Mariah and Rebecca. Predeceased by his two brothers, Donald and Frank. Walter retired after 45 years with the NY Telephone Company, his last position as a communication engineer. A WWII veteran, he served in the U.S. Navy in the South Pacific. He was also an avid gardener and a devout Catholic. Arrangements were made by Arthur F. White Funeral Home. Funeral Mass was held Dec. 7 at St. Kilian RC Church with interment following at Pinelawn Memorial Park. Donations in Walter’s name may be sent to Catholic Relief Services (P.O.
