Royal officials announced Monday that Prince William and his bride will be coming to Canada and America on their first official overseas trip very soon.

According to CBS News, Prince William and former Kate Middleton will first travel to northern Canada and eventually make their way to Southern California. The trip is set to go from June 30 to July 10.

Officials said the couple will begin at Canada’s capital Ottawa. From there they will travel to Montreal and Quebec City. They will then travel to Charlottetown and Summerside on Prince Edward Island, as well as the Northwest Territories capital of Yellowknife and the town of Calgary, Alberta. While at Alberta the city’s famous rodeo event, the Calgary Stampede, will be taking place.

In the past Canada has been a favorite vacation spot of British royals including Queen Elizabeth II. As Canada is a member of the British Commonwealth of former colonies the queen is still considered the head of state. Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper hopes that the visit will create a bond between Canada and the royal duo.

The couple’s first event of their tour to Canada will be celebrated with Canada Day Celebrations on July 1, drawing huge crowds. Harper speculates that because of the royal’s attendance the event it is set to be the biggest Canada day celebration in history. While in Alberta, the couple will open up the famous rodeo event, the Calgary Stampede.

According to Huffington Post, Kate once again revealed her down to earth side as she declined offers for free clothing for her North American tour. Her non-diva status has led millions to see her not as some untouchable but someone just like you.

Following their Canadian tour the couple will make a short stop from July 8-10 in Los Angeles and the surrounding area.
