Fred K’s Cancer Event
The Traveling Baseball Babes, with the assistance of the Oral Cancer Foundation and Sean Kimerling Testicular Cancer Foundation, will participate in the second annual Fred K’s Cancer event, walking the two miles of the Cantiague Park’s (W. John St. east of Cantiague Rock Rd.), Hicksville) Fitness Trail alongside the event’s honorees and namesakes, Fred Ahne and Fred Leone, friends, family members and supporters. Model A Ford Day
Old Bethpage Village Restoration, Round Swamp Rd., Old Bethpage, will host the 39th Annual Model “A” Ford Day from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The event, showcasing more than 60 historic Model As, will take place on the Village Fairgrounds, which is a re-creation of the old Mineola Fairgrounds. (In the event that rain forces a cancellation, the event will take place on June 26.) In addition to the vintage automobile display, the sounds of a late-l9th-century brass band will be re-created by the Old Bethpage Village Brass Band, performing at 2 and 3:15 p.m. Call 572-0200.
