Letter: Changing the Village’s Zoning Code

I am completely baffled as to why on July 21, the Garden City Board of Trustees are considering a change in the village’s zoning ordinances that would allow storage bins, sheds, fences, air-conditioning units and moveable trailers all the way up to a home’s front building line. These imposing units should remain in the rear half of the property, unless a homeowner can satisfactorily demonstrate to the Zoning Board of Appeals a legititimate need for such an “accessory structure.”
